Exploring the Layers of the Rainforest
The children created their own rainforest pictures by collecting natural materials and labelling the 4 layers of the rainforest.
Rainforest Animals
The children have been researching and discussing the types of animals that might live in the rainforest. We then created a picture collage of the different animals you might find living in the 4 layers of the rainforest.
Rainforest or Zoo?
Following our trip to Chester Zoo, we talked about the types of animals we saw at the zoo and if they were from the rainforest. We discussed whether or not they should be kept in zoos or whether they should be left in the wild rainforest. The children then created their own zoo parks to ensure that if the animals were in a zoo, they would have the space and enviroment they would have in the rainforest.
