Autumn

Please take a look at our Long Term plan to see an overview of curriculum coverage during this academic year. Not all subjects are taught every week. Sometimes, units are covered in blocks or during a weekly theme. Be sure to visit here regularly to see uploaded images of the learning in Year 6 and talk to your child each day to ask about their learning.

Manchester Police Museum

We had a brilliant day at Manchester Police Museum! We re-enacted a court case to learn about all the different roles and responsibilities in a courtroom. The case was related to cyber bullying and the jury had to decide if the defendant was guilty or not guilty! In the afternoon, we explored the museum to learn about how the police came to be and how rules of law have been enforced over the years.

Art- Frida Kahlo

We have been studying Frida Kahlo. We learnt all about her life in Mexico, what inspired her to paint and how she created her interesting pieces. Then, we practised colour mixing before making our own Frida Kahlo inspired self-portraits.
