Welcome to Year 2!

Year 2 are taught by Mrs Fawcett (Mon-Thu) and Mrs Moores (Fri) with TA support from Mrs Cadman.

📚 Home Learning

Reading records and books are checked and changed on a Monday. Please aim to read with your child at least 4 times a week and record it in their reading record books. Children can choose to read other books alongside their given school books to help them to develop a love for reading. 

To help support your child with their reading we are re-visiting our phonics 'Little Wandle' during Autumn 1 before focusing on spellings. We will be sending weekly letter and sounds phonic home learning sheets home ready for the following weeks learning. 

During the Autumn 1 Term our main focus in maths are number bonds. There are many songs that can help your child to remember the different number bonds. Please see the homework tab below for more information.

🏃🏼 PE

PE days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays during Autumn 1 Term. The children should wear their PE kits to school on these days.
