School Starting Age

If your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, they will be eligible to start school in September 2025.

Most children will start school in the September, after they are 4 years old. Children reach compulsory school age at the start of the term after their 5th birthday. If you wish to delay your child starting school, you must contact Cheshire East Council directly.  

You will have until January of the same calendar year that they are due to start, to apply for your child's school place.

1st September 2024 - Applications process opens

15th January 2025 - Applications closing date - any applications made after this date, may be disadvantaged.

16th April 2025 - Allocated school place offers will be sent out to parents

30th April 2025 - Deadline for parent/carer to accept or refuse the place offered

14th May 2025 - Deadline for appealed applications

Please Note: As well as the Local Authority Admissions Application, you must complete an Elworth Hall Admissions Form for all children joining us, ahead of their agreed start date.

Appeals

Should an admissions application be refused, parents have the right to appeal to Elworth Hall Primary School. Please email, admin@elworthhall.cheshire.sch.uk to request an appeals form or discuss the appeals process further.
